It's a little-known fact that Johnny Utah and Bodhi played on the same Junior A Hockey team in the mid-80's before one quit and moved to CA to adopt the surfer lifestyle and the other left and joined the FBI.

The only realistic part of this sene was the shame the goalie had after giving it up. But I love Youngblood! I love hockey and this film is a classic for the ages. It does have some fine acting. The great Ed Lauter comes to mind. I will be watching this film until I no longer can, eh?

As an ex hockey player and also, an ex actor in Hollywood, I found this whole film just the epiphany of hokey and bad taste. Poor Rob Lowe could obviously not skate so all the hockey stuff has to cut between close ups and then his hockey double. Happy if Rob is okay and moved on from this. Stop making hockey movies with guys that can't skate. It is way too obvious
